How is Elixium different from primary care?

Do you take insurance?

No. Elixium is a cash-based practice. This allows us to choose the right diagnostics and interventions without insurance restrictions that often block root-cause care.

Why don’t you take insurance?

Insurance is built for reactive care, not prevention. Staying independent allows us to spend more time with patients, use advanced testing when needed, and avoid “one-size-fits-all” treatment pathways.

What symptoms or goals do you commonly help with?

Do I need labs to work with Elixium?

Yes. Labs are foundational to our care model. We don’t guess or treat based on symptoms alone. Testing allows us to personalize care and avoid unnecessary or ineffective interventions.

What types of lab testing do you use?

We use a combination of: - Comprehensive blood testing - Advanced cardiovascular and metabolic markers - Gut health and microbiome testing - Hormone panels - Cortisol and metabolite testing when clinically indicated Our priority is accuracy, not convenience

How do I know which lab is the right place to start?

There are two ways: Consult with one of our providers to determine the most appropriate starting test based on your history and goals, OR Take our Clarity Check, a guided assessment designed to help route you to the most meaningful first test. Not everyone needs the same labs, and starting in the wrong place often leads to wasted time and money.

What is the Clarity Check?

The Clarity Check is a structured assessment that helps identify which body systems are most likely driving your symptoms. It’s designed to help guide testing decisions, especially for those who aren’t sure where to begin.

What are Elixium MicroLabs?

Elixium MicroLabs are diagnostics-first locations designed to make advanced testing more accessible, efficient, and patient-centered. They serve as the front door to the Elixium experience and focus on clarity before care planning.

Can I work with Elixium if I don’t live near a MicroLab?

Yes. Elixium partners with over 2,000 lab locations nationwide, allowing patients across the country to complete labs locally as part of our telemedicine model.

How does telemedicine work with Elixium?

Most consultations can be done virtually. Labs are co-ordinated near you results are reviewed with a provider, and ongoing care is managed through The Hollow, our integrated patient portal.

What is The Hollow?

The Hollow is Elixium’s secure patient portal where you’ll access lab results, care plans, communication with your care team, and ongoing tracking, all in one place.

Do you prescribe medications?

Yes, when clinically appropriate and supported by diagnostics. Prescribing decisions are individualized and focused on long-term health outcomes, not quick fixes.

Do you use retail pharmacies like Walgreens or CVS?

No. We do not use retail pharmacies. We partner with specialized compounding pharmacies to ensure precision dosing, higher quality standards, and formulations that align with personalized care plans.

Why compounding pharmacies instead of retail pharmacies?

Retail pharmacies are designed for mass distribution. Compounding pharmacies allow for customization, consistency, and better alignment with individualized treatment, especially in preventative and optimization-focused care.

Is Elixium only for athletes or high performers?

No. While we work with athletes and executives, most of our patients are everyday people who want to feel better, think clearer, and improve their long-term health trajectory.

How long does it take to see results?
